Spring Cleaning

The house is still a mess, but at least the dogs got their spring cleaning! First they had a day at the vet for teeth cleaning (plus a checkup, vaccinations, etc). After that was a trip to the groomer for their summer haircuts. Now their ears look so much bigger!

And they ended the day as usual, curled up on the couch.

We will all enjoy this short period of good doggy breath, clean fur, and no shedding!

  1. Oh my goodness, they are so sweet! Fur babies are just the best companions; I love mine to death.

My two monsters are due for the vet at the end of the month, and in desperate need of grooming right now! I had appointments for them this week, but mister talked me into canceling in favor of doing it ourselves. We're going to attempt it this weekend, and I expect that we'll be wondering the entire time if we're perhaps taking this DIY lifestyle thing a bit too far.

Enjoy your clean and fresh smelling babies!

  2. Anita, We had the exact same conversation last week! I was all set to go out and buy special pet clippers, but after reading the reviews on some of them I wasn't sure whether the problems were from poor quality equipment or untrained pet owners trying to use it! I'm still undecided, but since my two won't need another clip for a few months, I can wait to hear how yours comes out! Good luck and let me know!

  3. We went through the very same thing about the pet clippers; most of them are poor quality, IMO. Bob got them a mens hair trimmer like the one he and his sons use to get really short hair at the base of their necks. It seems to work pretty well! He always does the between appointments clean ups, so he will be doing most of the full grooming this weekend; I will try to get photos and share them on my blog. But even if I can't, I will definitely let you know how it goes!
